Season 2 / Episode 7
The African wild dog’s scientific name means painted wolf, referencing their black, brown, yellow and white markings. They live in packs with a strict hierarchy and are considered to be Africa’s most efficient predators. Sadly, they are also among Africa’s most endangered predators. These energetic and enthusiastic animals can be seen foraging, splashing in the water, or chasing each other up and down hills of their exhibit. They’re quite spectacular!
